The UCC social impact youth program highlights two charity group projects and one individual charity project per school year from September to May that focuses on Self-CareCompassion, and the Environment. For each charity project, unicorns participate in:

  • Exploration: Actively learn about the charitable cause based on age- and developmentally- appropriate curriculum.
  • Creation: As a team, brainstorm on an action plan to reach project goals.
  • Adventure: Have fun working together to make a positive impact on the charity’s mission and work.

Unicorn Programs

UCC offers two programs based on the educational and personal development needs of all unicorns that span K-12th grades.

  • Unicorn Juniors - This K-8th grade program aims to help unicorns do core charity work by acquiring knowledge and developing creativity, resiliency, and teamwork skills. Unicorn Juniors are required to have joint membership with an adult guardian to supervise their activities and participation.
  • Unicorn Seniors - This 9th-12th grade program aims to help unicorns develop executive leadership, team building, and entrepreneurial skills, while also doing core charity work with the group. Unicorn Seniors are not required to have joint membership with an adult guardian, but require parental consent to join and participate in UCC.

Developing Personal Skills and Values

Through our program working on charity projects together, unicorns will explore and acquire some pretty amazing personal development skills and values, including:

  • Empathy and Kindness
  • Creativity and Out-of-the-Box Thinking
  • Adaptability and Resiliency
  • Self-less Leadership and Teamwork
  • Strong Interpersonal Relationships
